Vijf jaar na URLAUB herziet het Rotterdamse performancecollectief URLAND de eigen Italo-Disco-recreatiehorror, waarin millennials probeerden te ontsnappen aan de druk van alledag, en komt tot de conclusie dat het erger is geworden: URLAUB Revisited dus.
Welkom in het tijdperk van de mentale pandemie, de alomtegenwoordige druk, toenemende onzekerheden en alleen maar MEER burn out's (wie kent het niet!?). De vermoeide samenleving is overprikkeld en hyperactief. De homo economicus vermarkt zichzelf en stilletjes wenen wij bittere Prozac-tranen. We werken onder vrijwillige dwang en ontspannen in dwangmatige vrijheid. Rust wordt onrust.
Te veel waarheid, te veel onwaarheid, te veel verwachtingen, te veel data, te veel toegang, te veel vrienden…
TRANQUILO. WE MOETEN ER EVEN TUSSENUIT. VERDOOF ONS. WE NEED VACATION FROM VACATION.
URLAND ontkoppelt en gaat op zoek naar de zin van het Niets.
